The Hunger Free Food Pantry was started in 2010 at our church.  We currently serve Eddy County through donations given by the community.  Our goal is for a “hunger free” New Rockford and surrounding areas.  Hours for the Food Pantry are Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1-4.  After hour contacts are Sheri at 947-2201 or 652-5223 or Luann at 947-5156.  Please know you are welcome to visit us anytime you have a need!

The Sunday worship service is broadcast at 10 a.m. on KDAK 1600 AM radio or cable TV channel 12.  If you wish to sponsor a Sunday broadcast in memory or in honor of someone, please call the church office at 947-2478 ~ the cost is $50 for a service.

SMASH (youth ed) is offered for grades preschool-6.  SMASH runs September through May on Wednesday afternoons from 3:15 until 4:30.  Affirmation of Baptism/Confirmation classes are offered for grades 7th & 8th and kids are confirmed at the end of their 8th grade year.  Affirmation of Baptism class runs September through May.  Check the church calendar for specific dates.
Our congregation has 3 active circles for women that meet on a regular basis (mostly monthly) for a Bible study, fellowship and service, with the option of morning, afternoon or evening meetings.  An active quilting group meets twice a month on the first and third Thursday to make quilts that are sent to missions around the world.
The men’s group is called First Lutheran Brotherhood.  They hold the annual Groundhog’s Day Waffle Supper, every February 2, which raises funds for a number of causes including:  Bibles for 3rd graders, and scholarships for Bible Camp and Youth Retreats.

First Lutheran Foundation was established in 2009.  This foundation board, which consists of 5 members, meets on a quarterly basis throughout the year.  They deal with large gifts and memorials given to the church and distribute those gifts as needed throughout the church, the community and the world. Contributions allocated according to these guidelines: 25% to Endowment (only interest can be used); 25% to First Lutheran programs; 25% to community projects; 25% to Missions. Professional advice available through ELCA. Contact your tax advisor for State and Federal tax benefits.
